FUNDRAISING

GOAL: $200,000

Our total start-up costs cover the downpayment, purchase and relocation fees, and expenses associated with rebranding the BnB, restaurant, and gift shop. We have 60% of the capital needed and we are seeking to fundraise the remaining 40%. 

Where Your Money Is Going

Financing for non-residents of Costa Rica is rare. We’ve been fortunate enough to partner with a local broker committed to identifying financing options for people like us who have a dream of owning commercial or residential property. However, these loan options require substantially higher down payments than U.S. loans, typically 50%. 
 
Based on the current monthly revenue of Toucan Lane, we are confident that we will be cash flow positive and able to grow the business.

By end-May, we will evaluate our fundraising status and decide on a timeline for proceeding forward.

CONTINGENCIES

Any funds raised will be used to purchase Toucan Lane. Should Toucan Lane be sold, we may seek a similarly priced commercial property in Costa Rica. We will inform you of the status of Toucan Lane and any properties we are considering.
